Philip Cooper
Philip is one of the founding partners of BCM.
Having become a young partner at Weatherall Green and Smith, Philip left the firm in 1996 to form Brown Cooper Marples along with two of his former colleagues.
Philip has advised on all sectors of the UK investment market for over 21 years, and is renowned in the industry for both his expertise and excellence, especially in the quoted property sector.
He has gone on to specialise in engineering complex corporate structures and putting together joint venture deals.
Philip was instrumental in the formation of quoted property company Wichford plc, together with J O Hambro Capital Management. Philip is a director of Wichford Property Management Ltd the management company now owned by CIREF plc and is retained as sole property advisor to the company and is responsible for all the company’s acquisitions and disposals. He continues to be a driving force behind the company’s expanding portfolio, which now stands at c.£500 million.
Together with J O Hambro and Invista Philip assisted in the formation of offshore unit trust, Merchant Properties which invests specifically in properties let to Travis Perkins. Philip is a director of the management company.
