Andy Barrs
Andy graduated from Reading University in 1977 and completed his training at Hillier Parker. He spent some time in Switzerland working for Litton Industries on northern European real estate and returned to UK in the mid 1980s to become a partner of Brian Cooper and Company. In the early 1990s he set up Andrew Barrs and Co and for the last 16 years has acted for Igal Ahouvi on whose behalf he has carried out over $10 billion of transactions ranging from a $2billion acquisition of a package of Marriot Hotels down to individual office, retail and industrial buildings of $20million plus lot sizes predominantly in UK, Germany and Switzerland. Most recently he is looking to expand Igal Ahouvis portfolio by investing in New York
Outside work Andy started a charity in 1995 called Wherever the Need which concentrates on the provision of eco sanitation and clean water in India and Africa. The charity has now become one of the largest providers of eco – sanitation in India and has changed the lives of many thousands of people.
